CLASS TITLE: Special Education Facilitator
REPORTS TO: Administrative Director of Exceptional Children Services, Preschool and Mental Health Services
BASIC FUNCTION: Provide individual and group instructional expertise to all levels; coordinate and/or provide professional development in needed areas or by individual needs, coordinate teaching schedules and caseloads with administration; coordinate collaboration activities with regular classroom teacher; mentor teachers with needed services; and provide ongoing communication among special education, regular teachers and administration.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES: Establish and conduct weekly meetings with specific topics.
Provide instructional mentoring services as needed.
Develop technology instructional packets for each collaborative content area.
Provide technology professional development.
Participate in professional development activities as a "trainer" and then deliver this to staff.
Attend "ARC" meetings with teachers.
Works with all content departments in planning a program for students.
Works with the administration in developing schedules appropriate for each student.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Kentucky’s Assessment and Accountability System.
Inclusion testing regulation.

Individualizing instruction.
Ability to:
Ability to Lift up to 25 pounds
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Teacher certification in regular or special education or an endorsement in a specialized area.
