Supervise maintenance, custodial, transportation and energy management services and special projects as directed.
Assist the Administrative Director of Operations, Transportation and School Safety and department heads with the monitoring of the daily functions of maintenance, custodial and transportation personnel to include recommendations for selection, retention, discipline and termination.
Assist with the evaluations of employees under the direction of the Administrative Director of Operations, Transportation and School Safety.
Oversee the design and implementation of the district’s facility maintenance management program that includes preventative maintenance schedules and replacement cycles, facility program specifications, building system and system component specifications, renovation cycles and furnishing specifications.
Oversee the district pupil transportation program that includes fleet scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, vehicle
replacement, operator training, establishment of routes and stops, and pick-up and drop-off times.
Coordinate, direct and participate in the training assignments of grounds and custodial staff.
Analyze district custodial related building service’s needs.
Schedule and assign custodial and maintenance personnel to meet district and school needs.
Plan, organize and direct custodial services for cleaning schools and support buildings.
Observe students as they the enter and exit busses at schools and make recommendations to school principals regarding release times, sequencing of walkers and riders, location of busses and private vehicles, and control of students as they the enter and exit busses.
Plan, regulate, monitor and report energy use in district facilities.
Develop plans and make recommendations to improve the district’s energy efficiency by evaluating energy usage.
Implement new policies and changes as needed to improve the district’s profile of energy conservation.
Effectively communicate with appropriate audiences in writing and verbally using speech, vision, and hearing.
Possess ability to efficiently and effectively use technology.
Demonstrate effective organizational skills pertaining to scheduling and collection of data for the purposes of reporting and planning to ensure efficient services.
Prepare reports and informational packets as needed.
Work cooperatively with all staff.
Perform duties while standing, sitting and walking.
Possess the ability to lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds.
Perform other duties as assigned.
